Gyrator is open source under Apache-2.0. Anyone can use all of it, for as long as they like. Nothing in the product is locked.

What a key does

One thing: it removes this line from reports, exports and retro questions. Input screens never show it.

  • The key is a signed note (organisation, issue date, updates until), checked offline against a public key in the program. There is no phone-home and no telemetry.
  • Paste the key in the admin home under This install.

Why it is honour-based

The code that checks the key is open like everything else. Removing the check is legal under Apache-2.0: the licence is a request, not a condition. That is the point. If Gyrator is useful to your company, paying for it keeps it maintained.
